Problem: Sand Operator needed to transport sand slurry to remote storage area.

APS Solution: APS designed and built a slurry pump /sump on a skid to collect the sand slurry and pump it to its destination.

 

Problem: Acidic water conditions prematurely deteriorated pumps.

APS Solution: APS coated cast iron pump with ceramic paint inside and out to deter corrosion from low pH conditions.

Problem: Plastic recycle plant had dirty water discharge.

APS Solution: APS designed a sump/pump/cyclone system to remove the fine solids from the sewer.

 

 

Problem: Powder plant needed heavy slurry removed from atomizer. 

APS Solution: APS fabricated a Base and Guard for a direct coupled heavy duty pump to move the metal powder slurry.

 

Problem: Coal mine run off pond dipping cost were high and product was lost.

APS Solution: APS designed and fabricated a system to recover the coal before it entered the pond, thus providing more sellable product and reducing pond maintenance costs.

 

Problem: Coal mine maintenance personnel could not safely reach a remote pond pump.

APS Solution: APS designed and fabricated a man and tool raft for access to the pond pump.

 

Problem: Metal powder plant needed to recover ultra fine particles.

APS Solution: APS designed a recovery, dewatering and storage tube system.

 

Problem: Underground mine water was contaminated with fine particles and caused excessive pump wear.

APS Solution: Mini washer recovered coal to product and protected pumps and other equipment from wear due to excessive contaminated water.

Problem: A customer was experiencing high rates of equipment replacement at their truck wash due to wear caused by solids in the recovered water.

APS Solution: APS designed a separation system to provided the truck wash with clean water and send the waste to a settling pond.

Problem: A Government Contractor with a conceptual flow diagram needed it implemented.

APS Solution: APS turned the conceptual flow diagram into a portable, operating pilot plant, and it was assembled in a retired mail truck!

Problem: A sediment pond filled with coal fines, and needed quick and continuous cleaning.

APS Solution:  APS designed and fabricated an automated digger pump and raft system. 

Problem: Magnetite loss in coal preparation plant contributed to high operating cost.

APS Solution: Effluent return sump and pump system reduced magnetite loss.

Problem: Coarse coal spillage in underground coal mine caused maintenance problems and hazardous conditions.

APS Solution: Special designed bucket elevator lifts coarse coal to the product belt.

Problem: Mixed grade plastics needed economically separated in recycle facility.

APS Solution: APS engineered a scrubber tank and cyclone system for washing, separating and drying grades of plastic.
